Message from Dr. Richard Lightbody

gavelI am writing as Chair of the Education Committee to announce important accomplishments at the recent APsaA meetings. Joanne Naegele was appointed a Training and Supervising Analyst for the CPC. Our Child-Focused Training Program was approved.  This program is the combined effort of the Hanna Perkins Center and the CPC, particularly its child analyst group. Arthur Rosenbaum was formally commended by the Board on Professional Standards for his leadership in this effort.Appointed as Child and Adolescent Supervisors for the CPC as part of the approval of the Child-Focused Training Program:

  • Devra Adelstein
  • Beatrice Griffin
  • Ruth Hall
  • Judith Pitlick
  • Carl Tuss
  • Barbara Streeter
  • Lorraine Weisman

These colleagues either are or will shortly become full members of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Finally, I thank all for their support in my recent campaign.  I regret to say that I was not successful in my effort to be chosen President-elect of APsaA.  This is disappointing but pales in comparison with the other major positive steps of our Cleveland group.I hope you will all join me in congratulating our newly appointed colleagues.Richard Lightbody
