Two Calls for Papers
Clinical Psychoanalysis & Analytic Philosophy - A Conference

KEYNOTE ADDRESSES:Edward Harcourt, Oxford UniversityJonathan Lear, University of ChicagoJuliet Mitchell, UCL & Cambridge University
Submissions are invited from both philosophers and psychoanalysts on any topic at the intersection of clinical psychoanalytic practice and analytic philosophy. We are especially interested in papers that explore one or more of the following themes:
- Empathy and clinical practice
- Value, psychological development, and the analytic process
- Self-knowledge and rationality
- The first-person perspective
- Identification and the boundaries of the self
- Memory and meaning
- Understanding interpersonal interaction inside and outside of the analytic context
- Psychoanalysis as ethics/the analyst as ethicist
Papers should be no longer than 40 minutes reading time (5000 words). Submissions should be sent to pandp@indiana.edu no later than 15 January 2016. Authors will be notified as to acceptance by 15 February 2016.

The journal "Language and Psychoanalysis" is currently accepting manuscripts for the next issue in Spring-Summer 2016.
Manuscript submission due date: 30th April 2016"Language and Psychoanalysis" is a fully peer reviewed online journal that publishes twice a year. It is the only interdisciplinary journal with a strong focus on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of language and psychoanalysis. The journal is also inclusive and not narrowly confined to the Freudian psychoanalytic theory.
We welcome a wide range of original contributions that further the understanding of the interaction between Linguistic Analysis and Theory & Psychoanalytic Theories and Techniques. Any relevant manuscripts with an emphasis on language and psychoanalysis will be considered, including papers on
- linguistics
- methodology
- theory
- philosophy
- child development
- psychopathology
- psychotherapy
- embodied cognition
- cognitive science
- applied dynamical system theory
- consciousness studies
- cross-cultural research
- case studies
