Superman Meets Psychoanalysis
DID YOU EVER WONDER WHO CREATED SUPERMAN AND WHY HE REMAINS AN ICONIC PRESENCE?Find out Friday, February 20th at 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Auditorium, 11000 Euclid Avenue, on the campus of Case Western Reserve.The Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center is sponsoring an evening of discovery and interaction with Brad Ricca, faculty member of Case Western Reserve and author of his award-winning book "Super Boys." Drs. Scott Dowling and Anna Janicki will provide psychoanalytic perspectives on the lives of the authors, Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster, of Superman the comic book. Finally Mr. Ivan Schwarz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, will discuss the major trend of comic books to major motion pictures, Superman being the first.Admission is free for this event.
