Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center Receives New IT Equipment
Our new Mondopad was introduced to the Board of Trustees of the CPC on October 16th. It was purchased with donations from a select group of trustees and members, among them Tom Peterson, Board President from 2006-2009. The Board embraced this opportunity to recognize Mr. Peterson’s contributions to the Center, including his leadership in securing a sound financial position for the organization which benefits us still. Our IT consultant led trustees in a training session in the operation of the new Mondopad. The state-of-the-art, 55-inch touchscreen device will be used for instruction, programs and conferencing. The Mondopad uses all Office documents, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, and others. It has a whiteboard feature for annotating and sharing ideas. Documents can be emailed directly to the Mondopad, or a thumb drive can allow easy upload of documents. The Mondopad, which was the most significant part of a broader IT upgrade, has already been used in a class on neuroscience taught to CPC students. The Education Committee is updating its curriculum to a wider range of students, who we hope will be pleased with our enhanced communications technology. Others who supported the purchase of the Mondopad include Trustee Astri Seidenfeld, Board secretary Victoria Vermes, and CPC members Murray Goldstone, Sara Tucker, Patricia Martin, and Richard Lightbody.
