October Events at the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center

We would like to draw your attention to four upcoming events in October.  On Wednesday, October 3rd our monthly mini-lecture returns with a presentation by John Ewing, Associate Director, Film, of the Cleveland Museum of Art.  In 1986, John Ewing, co-founder of Cleveland Cinematheque, became the first person hired by the Cleveland Museum of Art to do nothing but program films.His talk, commencing at 7:30 PM at the Center, 2460 Fairmount Blvd., Suite 312, is “The Challenges of Presenting (and Watching) Art Films.”The Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center is committed to providing the mental health community with stimulating and thoughtful continuing education programs designed to enhance clinical skills. On Friday, October 19th, and Saturday, October 20th we are presenting Gary Grossman, Ph.D., Associate Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of California at San Francisco.On Friday evening, in the CPC offices, Dr. Grossman will speak on “Childhood Romance Denied:  The Oedipal Drama and its Impact on the Lives of Gay Men.”  The reception (6:00 PM) and lecture (7:00 PM) are free and open to the public, and you may reserve by calling 216-229-5959.  CEU’s are available.On Saturday, October 20th, Dr. Grossman returns with a workshop on Developmental Considerations in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy w/ Gay Men. This workshop will be held at the Peter B.
