Learning Objectives:1. We will examine how the ability to experience oneself as an "agent" is established and how it may be disrupted in the course of relational engagements and conflicts during development.2. We will examine how these ideas may be usefully applied in the clinical context of the psychotherapeutic encounter and the potential power for transformation in adult parent-child relationships.
