A Message From APsaA's Psychotherapist Associates Committee

As you know from our October 20th letter, the Psychotherapist Associates Committee is working to attract more psychodynamic psychotherapists to the American Psychoanalytic Association. We are hoping to enlist your help to recruit new Psychotherapist Associates (PA’s) and meeting attendees. As we look ahead to APsaA’s 2017 National Meeting this January in New York, we are again asking you to inform all current trainees, recent graduates and faculty in your Adult and Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Programs about the upcoming Scientific Meetings, the tremendous benefits of attending, and the fascinating programs relevant to their work as therapists. We have attached a list of selected programs relevant to psychotherapy. It would be tremendously helpful for you to distribute or forward the Preliminary Program and the attached list in order to encourage participation as Psychotherapist Associates. Please reiterate the significantly discounted meeting registration fee for Psychotherapist Associates, and refer them to our link on apsa.org for more information. We would also appreciate your informing people about the Psychotherapy Department’s Dine Around (#2) on Tuesday January 17th at Emporium Brasil and our Networking Reception (incorporated this year in the “End of an Era” Party). We welcome training directors, new and returning Psychotherapist Associates and meeting attendees. We are counting on you to expand APsaA’s reach by helping to engage psychodynamic therapists. We would be glad to hear your ideas for further outreach, and very much look forward to collaborating with you. We look forward to seeing you in January, and thank you in advance for your help.Warm regards,Margo P.
