She has a Ph.D. in clinical Psychology and received her Psychoanalytic Training, Adult and Child, at the Parisian Society. She is licensed in New York as PhD Psychology and is faculty and member of the Columbia Psychoanalytic Center, Director of the Parent-Infant Training Program, and Co-Director of the Pacella Child Center at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. Her major clinical interests are: early development, mother-baby-toddler interactions, early signs of depression and autism, dyadic interventions, parenting and post-partum depression.LEARNING OBJECTIVES:1) Describe and critically evaluate historic and contemporary theories regarding maternal functioning;2) Better recognize the multilayered dynamics present in mother-infant interactions;3) Identify the techniques of intervention when a trauma has impaired the mother's ability to care for her baby.
