Research Study on Psychotherapy Techniques and Visuospatial Attention

Our Center has been contacted by  Joanne A Byars, MD, Postdoctoral Fellow, Behavioral Neurology, Department of Neurology, University of Florida.  She is seeking participants for her study.  Her email message follows, and you can click on the links to open and download the forms.Dr. Byers writes:I am a neuropsychiatrist and postdoctoral fellow in Behavioral Neurology, with a strong interest in the relationship between neurology and psychoanalysis. I am currently conducting a study examining the relationship between psychotherapy techniques and visuospatial attention, and wanted to see if the members of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center may wish to participate. I had previously written over the summer, so I do apologize if this is a duplicate email; however, I know many people were  on vacation then, so I wanted to follow up to make sure you had received the information. Of course, I completely understand if you feel this study is not appropriate for your group—but I know that emails can sometimes go astray, so I did want to make sure everything had been sent properly. For this study, we would like to collect information on the type of consulting room furniture arrangement used by practitioners of psychoanalysis and related psychotherapies. Interested individuals can participate entirely by email, and participation should take less than 15 minutes. The University of Florida Institutional Review Board has approved this study, and all information will be kept confidential.Study Information (1) Study Byars Informed Consent and Demographic Questionnaire (1) copy If you have any questions regarding the study, please do not hesitate to contact me.joanne.byars@neurology.ufl.edu|(352) 448-9042
